Bill Belichick didn't seem thrilled when ESPN cameras caught Taylor Swift celebrating another catch by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, during Monday's Chiefs-Saints game.
The free-agent NFL coach has been busy with numerous media appearances since parting ways with the Patriots in January, but he appeared on ESPN's “Manning Cast” with Eli Manning and Peyton Manning and appeared on Kelce's game. When the camera caught Swift cheering, she let out an awkward sigh. Family suite at Arrowhead Stadium.
Belichick said nothing, just followed suit with an awkward pose while his former quarterbacks smiled and laughed.
The moment occurred with less than a minute to go until halftime, with the Chiefs leading 13-7.
Belichick was reacting to the catch of Kelce, who had a solid night in the absence of Chiefs wideout Laci Rice. Lachie Rice is out with a potentially season-ending knee injury in Week 4's win over the Chargers.
“It was a great first half for Kelce,” Belichick said. “It's too big. It's too big.”
Kelce had a game-high nine catches for 70 yards.
Belichick jokingly complained about Kelce's big night after a slow start to the season, and that sigh (a disappointing “um” sound) was aimed at the three-time Super Bowl champion. There is a possibility that it was created.
A recent photo shared on Instagram by his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, 23, showed Coach wearing a Swift sweatshirt.
Belichick also reportedly attended Swift's concert in Amsterdam over the Fourth of July weekend.
The coach previously praised Swift, who has performed multiple times at Foxboro's Gillette Stadium.
The Chiefs, who improved to 5-0 on Monday, will have a week off before facing the 49ers (2-3) in a Super Bowl rematch in San Francisco on Oct. 20.
