Belichick Supports Girlfriend at Cheerleading Event Despite UNC’s Loss
Bill Belichick isn’t allowing the University of North Carolina’s recent loss to overshadow his girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s achievements.
Hudson, a 24-year-old and first-year cheer coach at UNC, was cheered on by Belichick during her performance at a cheerleading competition in Raleigh on Sunday, just a day after the Tar Heels’ defeat against Wake Forest.
Having previously cheered for Bridgewater State University, Hudson participated with the co-ed Code Black team in the Cheer Extreme All Stars X Evolution exhibition.
Photos circulating online captured Belichick, aged 73, sporting a gray sweatshirt on the sidelines as Hudson impressed the crowd in her sparkling outfit and black shorts.
A social media user remarked humorously, “I guess 73-year-old Bill Belichick didn’t come to the cheer competition expecting to see his 24-year-old girlfriend perform, but here we are.”
The cheer event took place only hours after the Tar Heels fell to Wake Forest with a score of 28-12, leaving them with a 4-6 record for the season and a challenging position ahead.
After the game, there was a brief interaction between Belichick and first-year coach Jake Dickert, which added to the day’s drama. It was a quick handshake at midfield before Belichick headed to the locker room.
This moment added to the ongoing challenges of Belichick’s time at UNC, which has been plagued with not just on-field issues but off-field headlines too.
While rumors swirl about a potential return to the NFL, Belichick has continuously asserted his dedication to the program he joined less than a year ago.
Recently, he addressed speculation regarding the New York Giants’ head coaching role following Brian Daboll’s firing, stating, “I truly respect and care deeply about the New York Giants organization…However, despite the rumors, I have never pursued and will never pursue an NFL head coaching position.”
With two games remaining in the season, Belichick is now focused on what’s next—starting with a game against rival Duke on Saturday.
