Could Bill Belichick’s newly renamed boat hint at the engagement of Super Bowl-winning coach Jordon Hudson? It seems that way. His boat recently got a fresh coat of paint and a new name, shifting from something quite neutral to “VIII Rings,” which some believe might be a nod to Hudson’s engagement ring or possibly to the championship rings she possesses.
A report from TMZ mentioned that the boat showcases eight rings encircling the “R” in its new name. However, it’s still uncertain whether this is a tribute to the engagement or just a coincidence tied to Hudson’s achievements.
The football coach is known for his impressive collection of eight Super Bowl rings—six earned as head coach and two as a defensive coordinator. Meanwhile, Hudson earned a National Championship Ring during her time with the cheer squad at Bridgewater State University.
Their relationship has grabbed headlines since its public debut last June, not least because of the notable 49-year age gap between the 73-year-old Belichick and 24-year-old Hudson.
Interestingly enough, Hudson was reportedly around New England during Belichick’s last season as head coach, making appearances at training camp practices. She even recalled wearing red pants upon Belichick’s suggestion so he could easily spot her in the crowd.
It appears that Hudson often joins Belichick when the team stays nearby before home games, adding another layer of intrigue to their public image. Less than a month ago, Belichick’s somewhat awkward interview on CBS Sunday Morning further fueled the spotlight on their relationship, particularly when Hudson stepped in to manage some of the questions directed at Belichick.
There are whispers about Hudson facing some social challenges on Nantucket, possibly due to the loyalty some have to Belichick’s former partner, Linda Holiday. Reports suggest Hudson attended a flight from Boston to West Palm Beach in 2021, after Belichick’s split from Holiday, which was said to have occurred in 2023.
“People don’t seem to warm up to her,” a source revealed, hinting at the challenges she faces as Belichick’s younger partner.
