Comedian Bill Burr confronted him about billionaire Elon Musk and expressed frustration with reporters for trying to inundate him with political discussions during an interaction last month.
Journalist Nicholas Barasi pressed Burr regarding the recent criticism aimed at Musk, as Burr attended the Kennedy Center event on March 23rd, annoyed while honoring veteran late-night host Conan O’Brien, who frequently had Burr as a guest.
In response to statements initially made on “The View,” Burr stated“I’m oblivious to the news.” He noted, “I’m unaware of what’s happening. I’m watching Instagram, observing people crash on motorcycles. I’m watching lions and hyenas engage in combat.

Barasi continued to press Burr on his political views.
“But comedians are aware of current events,” he remarked.
“No, that’s weak,” Burr retorted. “It’s you all supplying the funds. You need to control the narrative again, but you don’t. You always ask, ‘Should we consider this?’… You folks need to regain control once.”
On March 20th, Burr appeared on “The Scenery,” criticizing Musk, stating, “I think Elon realized the other Earth was present and redirected the rockets because he intended to discard this. They’re just going to abandon it.”
Burr also dismissed inquiries regarding Luigi Mangione, who has been implicated in the murder of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson in one of the country’s most publicized homicide cases.

“Can you share your thoughts on Luigi Mangione?” another reporter inquired of Burr. “I read, you perhaps endorsed his actions. What are your reflections on that?”
“If you were reading, I doubt you understood it. I articulated what I felt, and I echoed the sentiments of many,” Burr responded.
“Some individuals feel that way,” the reporter pushed. “Would you clarify your stance on this?”
“No, no, I’m not just here to create controversy for clicks,” Burr asserted. “I’m here for Conan. I’m not taking part in all this. What’s next, will you ask if I grew up in the Middle East? I attended summer school in my junior year of high school. I’m not qualified to discuss this.”
Regarding Mangione, Burr shared. Variety Magazine reported in January that he expressed concern about pressure on the medical executive due to murder allegations.
“The amusing aspect of that CEO was witnessing CEOs face discomfort,” Burr noted. “I’m certain they’ve gained nothing from this, but it illustrates how people feel every day when they are pressured, as that is how they conduct business. How to exit this charred wreck of ruined lives while you “rebuild” and “integrate.” It was entertaining to observe their anxiety. “
