Health Concerns for Bill Cody
Bill Cody, a prominent figure in the Grand Ole Opry, is currently in critical condition and faces the need for dual transplants to survive.
His daughter, Hannah, shared a touching message on Instagram on Sunday, appealing for prayers from family and fans alike.
“Friends, Prayer Warriors, I really believe in the power of prayer, and my father truly needs it,” she expressed.
Not long ago, he was admitted to the ICU due to heart and kidney failure. After a challenging few weeks filled with emotional ups and downs, various tests, dialysis, and medications, it was determined that a heart and kidney transplant was his only chance at life.
Hannah mentioned that her father had been tested for eligibility for the transplant list, which gave the family some hope, but the situation quickly worsened.
“Just last night, his heart’s ability to pump blood diminished significantly, and we were informed this morning by his doctor that intubation was necessary to use ECMO, a machine that assists the heart,” she explained.
In her message, Hannah laid out specific prayer requests to bolster her father’s chances of recovery.
“1) Please pray he avoids ECMO-related risks like strokes, blood clots, and infections. 2) Pray he stays on ECMO for the next 48 hours, allowing his body to rest and regain strength. This is crucial for his transplant eligibility,” she elaborated on social media.
She concluded with further requests for prayers. “I hope the transplant team meeting on Tuesday finds him suitable for the list.”
“We are in need of a miracle, and I have faith that God can provide it,” she added. “If you have a moment, please pray for these things. Our family appreciates it immensely. We love you all.”
