Well, it seems there’s some news on the left.
Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio is single again after an alleged affair involving an out-of-state official disrupted his 10-month relationship with activist Nomiki Const., as two sources revealed to The Post.
The couple, who went public in February, described themselves as “kindred spirits” and had known each other for years. De Blasio, 64, and Const., 41, seemed quite happy together.
But time has passed—and they’ve called it quits. According to insiders, Const was deeply hurt after the former mayor allegedly betrayed her more than once.
“The way it all ended was even worse than what he did. She was really, really happy. When it happened, I was like, ‘What?!’” a source shared.
Sources say Const had been very understanding, despite being wronged—yet the ongoing disrespect seemed particularly painful. “It was really bad,” remarked one insider.
Interestingly, just a week before, they were spotted together at a protest, sporting shirts supporting newly elected Mayor Zoran Mamdani, and they looked quite content.
However, the breakup took place sometime between that event and Election Day, attributed to de Blasio’s alleged affair, though the identity of the other official remains a mystery.
De Blasio stated, “Nomiki and I have had a great relationship for 10 months. I have a deep respect for her and what she stands for, and I look forward to forging a true friendship in the future,” but added that he had nothing more to say.
He had separated from his wife, Chirlane McCray, earlier this year but indicated he wouldn’t pursue a divorce.
Const’s close friends reported that she was devastated by the revelation of the affair.
Despite the turmoil, they had been seen together at various events in March, even as de Blasio seemed to be juggling his dating life.
He was recently caught in a lengthy kiss with an unidentified woman at a bar, and shortly after, he was seen out with yet another woman, seemingly before he fully committed to Const.
Last month, he signed on as a contributor for CNN and has been actively appearing at events to support Mamdani.
Meanwhile, Const played a significant role in reshaping de Blasio’s image, helping him gain back some standing in the public eye and even changing his hairstyle post-office.
