Bill Gates befriended Jeffrey Epstein for this favor from sex predator: report

Microsoft tycoon Bill Gates was attracted to the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein primarily because he thought he could help him win the Nobel Peace Prize, according to a new book.

In “Billionaire, Geek, Savior, King: Billionaire and His Quest to Shape the World,” New York Times financial editor and author Anuprita Das wrote that the tech titan was obsessed with winning prizes and thought Epstein could help him do so.

The notorious predator pleaded guilty to soliciting underage girls in 2008 and began pursuing a relationship with Gates in 2010 to clear up his own tarnished image at the time, according to some media reports. The New York Post reported on Das’ book.

Mr. Epstein told Gates Foundation officials he could help the computing pioneer connect with influential Nobel laureates.

A few years later, the two flew to France with Norwegian diplomat Terje Rod-Larsen and met with Nobel Committee chairman Thorbjörn Jagland, Das writes.

But Gates was adamant during the 2013 meeting, and Rod Larsen was forced to resign from the International Peace Institute in 2020 over his ties to Epstein.

Gates called his time with Epstein a “big mistake.” Interview with CNN In 2021.

In a statement to The Washington Post, a spokesman for Gates slammed parts of the book.

“The book contains highly sensationalized allegations and outright falsehoods that ignore the actual documented facts that our firm provided to the author on multiple occasions,” the spokesperson said.

A representative for the 68-year-old Gates told media that he regrets his involvement with Epstein and that their connection was limited to charitable work, not an affair.

Gates’ ex-wife, Melinda Gates, has been wary of any association with the notorious women-sitter, saying she only met him privately once.

She told Gayle King in a 2021 interview that Epstein was “the devil incarnate.”

The unpublished biography also said that Gates had frequent affairs with female subordinates during his time at Microsoft.

The company’s former president “flirted and pursued women and made unwanted advances, including inviting Microsoft employees to dinner during his term as chairman,” Das wrote.

One executive told me that while Gates can be awkward with women, he’s no “Harvey Weinstein.”

“I don’t know of any actual circumstances where she gained anything from sleeping with Bill,” a source told The Washington Post.

But these temptations in the workplace have forced managers to prohibit employees from spending time with billionaires without other employees being present.

Epstein hanged himself in his jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
