Bill Maher debates Star Wars actor if youth today are ‘fragile’: ‘Not their fault’

“Star Wars” actor Billy Dee Williams rejected Bill Maher’s “Club Random” podcast after the liberal host called today’s youth “vulnerable.”

Before Maher launched into a ferocious attack on today’s youth, the two admitted to each other that they did not understand the younger generation.

The liberal host called today’s youth “fragile” like “plants in a greenhouse” because they were “raised incorrectly.”

“What about misinformation?” Williams, who played Lando Calrissian in Star Wars, offered, before suggesting that younger generations simply lack a “sense of history.”

Bill Maher mocks Ivy League schools for ‘indoctrination’ and anti-Israel hatred: Universities ‘make fun’

Bill Maher slammed the lack of education among young people on a new episode of his podcast Club Random.

Maher agreed, saying that young people “don’t know anything, but it’s not their fault” because that’s how they were raised.

Mr. Maher touted an average education growing up in a small town, but his own experiences have given him a basic understanding of core subjects. He contrasted his experience with today’s education system, which forces students to graduate at all costs.

“You don’t need to know anything. Once you’ve read your diploma, they’ll sign your diploma and walk you out the door,” he said. “That’s a crime.”

Maher argued that while today’s young people are ignorant about issues such as the war in Gaza, this does not mean they lose confidence in expressing their opinions.

Anti-Israel demonstrations in London

Bill Maher rants about how today’s youth are not educated about today’s issues and history, citing the protests against the war in Gaza.

Williams countered that while this generation does face new challenges, he remains hopeful for the future.

“Things have changed a lot, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be fixed,” Williams said. “And it will be fixed. AI will definitely fix everything,” he joked.

The two then shifted their conversation to focus on how artificial intelligence will change society.

Maher has frequently criticized far-left “indoctrination” at Ivy League schools and the anti-Israel protests that erupted on college campuses across the country after the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.

On a January episode of his podcast, he told comedian Sebastian Maniscalco that schools are neglecting students’ basic education and that social media is “rotting” the brains of today’s young people.
