HBO real time Host Bill Maher received an invitation to CEO Brian Lard’s private Oscar party (also attended by Vice President Kamala Harris) at his home last Saturday night. Because of this, he was reportedly fired from his talent agency CAA.
Bill Maher had been representing Hollywood powerhouse CAA for 20 years until their sudden falling out, sources said. report From The Hollywood Reporter.
Anonymous sources said Maher was furious after being refused permission to attend the event. The party at Lard’s home included Vice President Kamala Harris, Barry Diller, Disney’s Bob Iger, barbie star Margot Robbie and others.
Bill Maher has repeatedly urged President Joe Biden to oust Kamala Harris and choose a more popular running mate in the 2024 election.
“I like Kamala Harris, but for some reason she hasn’t been a very good politician. And I don’t know if she can turn it around. Sometimes reputations can take on a life of their own. You know,” he said in 2022.
More recently, Maher said this month that her dream ticket is Joe Biden and Nikki Haley.
Like Biden, Harris is even more unpopular, with recent polls showing her trailing Biden by 5 points.
