Bill Maher rails against woke left ‘crazies’ within the Democratic Party

Bill Maher revealed how he feels about the “lunatics” within the Democratic Party in an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Saturday.

When asked why he now ridicules the left more than before, he replied: I'm a comedian. I'm going where the money is. '' Maher further elaborated on his comedy, saying, “I think humor is one of the best ways to get to the truth, and it's probably the best, especially in politics,'' adding, “When someone laughs, It happens unconsciously, so you can force your audience to agree with you even if you don't really want to.”

The interviewer replied, “But people who wake up don't always laugh.'' Maher agreed, saying: “This is one of the problems I have with the left. They can't stand having to endure for a second to hear something they don't already agree with. The right has the same thing. Not that they won't, but the left will make it worse.”

Marr also touched on how his liberal friends can't stand the fact that he invites conservative guests like Ann Coulter onto his show. “'I had some liberal friends who couldn't stand it. Think about what this is,'” Bill pauses dramatically, then repeats, “It's people who hate me because I don't hate them.” , “These are the people who hate me so I don’t hate them.”

After being asked, “Why can't people on the left treat people with whom they disagree favorably?'' Maher replied, “It's in their psychological profile. They just have a desire to spread virtue, and they just want their friends, and everyone on social media, to think they're good people.” “We're good people. We know who's good, and that's us.”

“A lot of Republicans are saying, 'Maybe we could get Bill Maher,'” Maher said, amid much speculation about whether he is considering switching parties. Deny that idea. No, you can't. What we get is that Bill Maher is honest about the left. I will not join your team if you do not believe in democracy. ”

Maher himself has no intention of changing political parties, but says, “I'm not particularly obsessed with Trump or unaware of his many flaws, but I just think the lunacy of the left is somehow worse.'' He pointed out that there are voters who say, “I just feel it.” I don't agree with them, but I understand. I don't hate them for voting for him. ”

Maher also had some choice words for the younger generation, saying one of their problems was that “they don't think, they don't have a point of view.” Of course, people who go to elite universities, or factories, are indoctrinated with the idea that they are living in the worst country in the world during the worst time in history, when in fact they are living there. Despite all its shortcomings, it was still probably the best and definitely the best time ever. ”

Maher believes that what this country needs are metaphorical “colonies,” but contrary to what some people on the political fringe believe, he “loves America.” “America doesn't need a revolution,'' he added.

He believes that Republicans will overwhelm Democrats in elections unless Democrats are able to “unlock their conviction that they are a misguided vehicle for what people really want,” adding, “They won't vote.” When we lose, we often say, “We failed,'' he added. Don't get our message across. ” Yes, it was. They didn't like it. You said it loud and clear. ”

In his closing statement of the interview, Mr. Maher said, as if addressing Vice President Kamala Harris herself: Congratulations. “
