Bill Maher stuns ‘Real Time’ crowd: ‘You’re not going to drag me into Trump derangement syndrome’

Trump Derangement Syndrome has a strong hold among liberals, but Bill Maher refuses to succumb to it like so many other illnesses.

He made this incredibly clear during a recent segment on “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Panelist John Heileman said of President Trump's recent comments about Liz Cheney, “He called for a military tribunal against her.” “He may not do that, but he doesn't want to normalize the notion that that's the kind of language we want.”

“I'm sorry, but the problem with the far left is that you're not trying to drag me into Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's not crazy to be upset or worried about real things. For example. He might be a fascist,” Maher replied.

“But if you think I'm going to drop all the rabbits down the hole for the next four years, you're wrong. I'm not going to do that,” he continued. “I've done this once. I'll never do it again.”

“That's who he is. If he talks about Arnold Palmer's ____ or says bad things or says things that make everyone think, 'We have a shitty country,' I don't care. I'm not going to be disgusted about it. I'm not, because that's crazy,” he added.

Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report is impressed, to say the least.

“Who knows where Bill will end up in a few years? He's probably never going to get to where we want him to be in the election, and that's fine, but he said that. ,” Rubin says.

“He's saying, 'I'm not going to act like last time,' which means, 'I was going to hate him and undermine him no matter what,'” he added.
