Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly suggested Tuesday that if Vice President Harris ran for president alongside Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D), she would garner more support from voters than if President Biden continued in the race.
“The Democrats knew Biden couldn’t campaign, so they made a pretty astute political decision. Obviously, this is a big step forward for the campaign,” O’Reilly said. News Nation Interview“And I think he’ll probably attract a bigger constituency of voters than Biden, but that’s just speculation.”
“So there’s some energy within the Democratic Party right now,” he added.

While Walz’s addition energized the Democratic Party, at least in the short term, O’Reilly argued that since Biden dropped out of the race, most people don’t actually understand the candidate they’re supporting.
“By the way, I don’t think people understand what they’re rooting for, but they’re excited, and that’s always been the case. Their opponent, Trump, is the devil, so the situation is, ‘Whoever runs, that’s better,'” he said.
According to an NPR/PBS News/Marist national poll released before Harris announced Walz as her running mate on Tuesday, 71 percent of respondents said they didn’t know enough about the Minnesota governor to form an opinion of him. Of the remaining respondents, 17 percent had a favorable opinion of Walz and 12 percent viewed him unfavorably.
O’Reilly argued that the Harris-Waltz pairing would likely be “the most left-wing duo in the history of this country.”
“The most important thing I want to say is, you’re not voting for one side or the other, you’re voting for a vision for your country. So if you want the country to look like we had four years of Trump, that’s what we’re going to have. He’s going to govern as a bargaining chip,” he said, later adding, “If you vote Democrat, you’re voting for fundamental change across the country. Everything is going to move left. DEI is going to happen.” [diversity, equity and inclusion]Then you will “awaken”; everything will change and traditional values will disappear.”
Conservative commentators have previously said Trump was still a better choice than Harris, despite his recent “self-destructive mistakes”.
“Donald Trump is unpredictable. He won’t let go of grudges. He’s hurting himself,” O’Reilly said. “On the balance with Leland Wittert” He added on Monday:[If] “If you vote for Kamala Harris, you’re going to feel pain like you’ve never felt before, that’s my opinion.”
