Bill O'Reilly: 'Unusual' both campaigns think they'll win

(News Nation) — Political commentator Bill O'Reilly said Monday it's “unusual” that both Vice President Harris and former President Trump believe they will win the 2024 presidential election based on their internal investigations.

O'Reilly contrasted this with the 2016 election, when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's campaign was confident of a landslide victory, while many in the Trump campaign believed she would lose.

“With six weeks to go, both sides are confident of victory,” O'Reilly told NewsNation.About balance“That's unusual.”

O'Reilly cited internal research by research firms Trafalgar and Rasmussen as the basis for the Trump campaign's optimism, but did not say where the Harris campaign's confidence is coming from.

The former Fox News host also revealed that both the former president and vice president have agreed to do separate interviews with CBS' “60 Minutes.”

Speaking of recent campaign rhetoric, O'Reilly defended Trump's comments about dissatisfaction with Jewish voters and women, saying he cited polls and spoke of “general sentiment.”

The Hill/Decision Desk Polling Index shows Harris leading Trump by 3.6 percentage points, 50.3 percent to 46.7 percent.
