Singer Billie Eilish has lashed out at “misogynist” critics who have expressed dissatisfaction with her departure from her usual tomboyish, neo-punk look for a more feminine style.
In an Instagram story over the weekend, Eilish said she was inundated with negative comments after a recent photo in which she looked more classical and feminine in a dress.
One of the most stunning looks at the Met Gala was Eilish in a lacy black cocktail dress with dark eyeliner accentuating her pale blue iris. Please look:
“I spent the first five years of my career completely obliterated by idiots who kept telling me I would be more attractive if I dressed like a boy and acted like a woman.” the irish wrote in story captions.
Eilish then turned to people on the other end of the spectrum, calling her a seller.
“Now that I feel it’s okay to wear anything that’s far from feminine or snug, I’ve changed and become a hotspot,” she wrote.
Mr. Eilish called these people “true fools” and “bastards” who needed to “let the ladies rest.”
Eilish said in a subsequent article that women are “multifaceted” and can be “interested in multiple things”.
“Wanting to express myself differently at different times is completely unheard of and insane,” she quipped.

In her final message, Eilish called her critics “women who hate weirdos.”

“I decided to wear a tank top the other day,” Billy said. “It wasn’t a provocative shirt either. But I know people are going to say, ‘Oh my God, she’s trying to be sexy and make her own statement.’ And I’m like, “No, it’s not.” I just want to wear a tank top because the temperature is 500 degrees for her. ”
“People continue to have these memories and attachments. But it’s very impersonal. I lost 100,000 followers because of my boobs. People are afraid of big breasts,” she added. “You don’t even really need to know who you are until you’re at least as old as I am or older.”
