Despite their Super Bowl hopes, the Buffalo Bills were once again disappointed in the playoffs.
The Kansas City Chiefs were eliminated from the playoffs for the third time in four years, but this time they benefited from a field goal that went wide to the right.
When the Bills won the AFC Championship in the 2020 season, many expected them to be in the Super Bowl at this point, but they have not been to the conference title game since.
Bills doubters are now all in, but members of the Bills' upper echelon aren't ready to give up on them just yet.

In his year-end press conference, general manager Brandon Beane completely dismissed the idea that the Bills' Super Bowl window was closed.
“I'm not going to fall into the 'windows are closed' mentality,” Bean said via Buffalo's WIVB. “Your team is constantly changing and evolving from class to class, draft class, free agency, etc.
“There's no perfect solution. You have to keep working. You have to learn,” Bean said. “I can't sit here and guarantee, 'Oh yeah, we have a magic answer and we're going to go to the AFC Championship next year or go to the Super Bowl.'” We know we need it, we know it. Must be executed. Unless you get blown out, when you lose a game, in a one-score game, you can actually squeeze him into three, four, five plays in one game that they made, you I didn't make it. And you have to make them… We're all very disappointed, and no one is more disappointed than me, but I also don't want to throw out an entire season and say, “This is it. I'm not going to say, “Let's discard the problem and start over.'' ”
But most importantly, Beane feels they have the right person to lead them in Josh Allen.

“This is a quarterback league and I believe in the players we get under center.”
“I'm pretty goal-oriented, and my ultimate goal is to win a world championship, and to do it for Bills Mafia, to do it for Terry and Kim, and to do it for the people of Western New York. You do it for the sake of it,” added head coach Sean McDermott. “I'm very proud of what we've accomplished, but I'm never going to be complacent or complacent. Every year we start over, and every year there's a fire, I tell you… , I can promise you, that fire burns within me as much, if not more, than it did the year before.
“Yes, we are disappointed, but not devastated.”
