Exploring the Supernatural: A Shift in Belief
In today’s world, a significant number of people are leaning towards beliefs in the supernatural. Surveys indicate that more individuals believe in concepts such as God, spirits, and the afterlife than those who strictly identify as atheists or naturalists.
This changing perspective is evident in our entertainment choices. Billy Hallowell, an investigative journalist, presents a new documentary series titled Paranormal Investigation: Angels and Demons. In this series, he delves into the existence of angels, demons, spiritual warfare, and unseen phenomena, using a blend of evidence, testimonials, and Scripture.
Recently, Hallowell discussed with Glenn Beck why belief in the supernatural makes sense, especially with the evidence highlighted in his documentary.
Despite identifying as a Christian, Hallowell admits he approached supernatural claims with skepticism. However, creating this series profoundly changed his outlook. “I was shocked by the incredible amount of evidence that was out there,” he shared.
This evidence, he suggests, is not just fascinating; it serves as a powerful tool for evangelism, particularly among younger people. He noted that many are navigating through a secular worldview and, when confronted with credible supernatural evidence, find themselves drawn to faith. “They’ve been fooled for so long,” he explains, “and when they encounter something truly extraordinary, it piques their interest.”
Interestingly, not everyone requires hard evidence to embrace belief in the paranormal. Beck pointed out that many recognize the presence of good and evil, describing it as a battle unfolding around us. “We are witnessing good and evil, angels and demons competing all around us right now,” he stated. Hallowell echoed this sentiment, referencing Paul’s words in Ephesians: “Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil.”
He emphasized that without grasping these spiritual dynamics, one might struggle to truly comprehend the world and their personal experiences. “It’s a battle,” he reiterated.
Hallowell’s documentary aims to provide viewers with a spiritual perspective on life, even encompassing discussions about extraterrestrial beings. To see how he tackles these topics, check out the video linked above.
