Billy Joel announced that he has postponed his upcoming concert due to a private “sickness” after falling on stage on a recent show.
“Uptown Girl” Cruiser I took him to Instagram On Tuesday, he announced that he would press the dates for the concert from March to July to allow time to “recover from recent surgery” and “take physical therapy under physiotherapy under doctor's supervision.”
“My health must come first while I regret postponing the show,” he wrote. “We look forward to returning to the stage and sharing the joys of live music with our incredible fans. Thank you for your understanding.”
According to the statement, Joel, 75, is “hoping to recover in full.”
The “Piano Man” singer was scheduled to perform at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario on March 15th, but will not return to stage until July 5th.
His concert is scheduled to run until July 2026.
Last month, Joel was worried about fans after falling while playing the 1980 track “It's Still Rock and Roll to Me” at Mohegan Sun in Monville, Connecticut.
According to a video shared on Tiktok, he moved the microphone stand and then threw it into the crowd and lost his balance.
“Pressure” the singer fell on his back and stayed there for a few seconds before he woke up.

He seemed ok, but fans were worried about the happiness of the Grammy Award winner.
“It fell for the last time. I saw him a few years ago and he still got it.
“Yeah, he looks hurt,” the second added.
Joel also canceled the show in Florida due to a “medical procedure” in January, but details were never revealed.
He also quickly returned to the stage last year after putting together 150 shows for a decade-long residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
