Cabot, Pennsylvania – Billy Ray Cyrus on Friday attended the funeral of Corey Comepratore, a volunteer firefighter, husband and father who was shot and killed during a rally for former President Donald Trump last Saturday.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer was seen posing for photos and shaking hands with officers outside Cabot United Methodist Church in Cabot, Pennsylvania on Friday morning.
“Corey Comperatore[n] “An Army Reserve veteran and former fire chief, Billy Ray Cyrus has always been passionate about honoring our military and first responders. Today he was honored to join his family and perform during the ceremony,” a source told Fox News Digital on Friday.
Hundreds of family members, friends and local law enforcement officials, both local and federal, gathered in Cabot for Comperatore’s funeral, 50. Butler County residents who knew the Comperatore family and those who didn’t, lined the country roads around the church with American flags and signs honoring Comperatore.

“American Hero Corey Comperatore,” one sign read. Another called the volunteer firefighter a “true hero.”
Comperatore was shot and killed while trying to protect his family during a rally.

Comperatore for 10 years United States Army He was a reservist and served as captain of the Buffalo Fire Department in the early 2000s, was a church-going man and a loving father and husband.
