Billy Vunipola was Tasered twice by police before being arrested at 4:30am on Sunday morning after an incident at a bar in Mallorca.
The arrest occurred at Parma’s Epic Bar after the England rugby player took off his shirt and began threatening customers and staff with bottles and chairs. Spanish police said Mr Vunipola, who is 6ft 2in tall and weighs more than 20 stone, was shot with a Taser after assaulting a police officer.

He was then taken to nearby Son Espace Hospital. Newspaper reports featured video footage of him being led from a police van to a local police station.
“Early yesterday morning, at 4:30 a.m., we arrested a 31-year-old foreign man on suspicion of disobedience and assaulting a police officer,” a spokesperson for Mallorca’s national police said. The incident occurred at a leisure facility on Palma’s coast, where a man had sparked an altercation inside the facility.

“Then a second projectile was fired, which took effect. At that point, the officers jumped on him, shackled him and immobilized him before taking him to Son Espace Hospital for evaluation and arrest. did.”
Vanipura was later released on bail pending investigation.
Saracens said in a statement on Monday: “Saracens are aware of the incident involving Billy Vunipola in Mallorca. We will of course deal with this incident internally and will not be commenting further until then.”
The 31-year-old enjoyed a successful 10-year international career, winning 75 caps for England, but missed out on the Six Nations this year. The player came on as a substitute in the second half of Sarries’ 15-12 win over Bath on Friday night, before the club go on holiday as matches do not resume until May 11.
