Some members of the black community appear displeased that former President Barack Obama appeared on the campaign trail to chide Vice President Kamala Harris over her declining support.
Mr. Obama entered the race last week after polls showed Ms. Harris underperforming among the black community.

national vote show Harris' approval rating among black voters in 2020 is about 12 to 15 percentage points lower than Biden's.. Black voters appear to be moving away from the Democratic Party. From 2018 to 2022, the Republican share of the black vote will be 9 percent to 13 percent.
“We still haven't seen the kind of vibrancy and turnout we saw when I was running in every aspect of our neighborhoods and communities,” said Obama Harris supporters in Pennsylvania. “I think part of it is that you just don't feel the idea of having a woman as president, and you're coming up with other alternatives and reasons for that.”
President Obama's comments seemed to be pandering to some people.
“These are people who should have had an easy time with Harris,” says Ken Wainwright, a Georgia labor organizer and former Atlanta City Council candidate. said of a black man while talking to atlanta Magazine composition. “And now Obama is angry. Where were you, buddy? ”

Trump's growing support among the black community is a wake-up call for the Harris campaign. On Monday, he announced an “Agenda for Black Men.” Its agenda included legalizing marijuana, new lending programs, preferred banking options for entrepreneurs, preferred training and mentorship programs, and expanded priority health screenings.
“Marijuana? That's totally disrespectful,” Wainwright said. “We're fathers. We live in these communities. We want to free our kids from that.”
The Harris campaign withdrew its proposal Wednesday. It is no longer just targeted at the black community.
“President Obama's recent call for black men to support Kamala Harris solely because of the color of her skin, not her policies, is deeply insulting. I wrote Congressman Byron Donald (R-Florida), Congressman Wesley Hunt (R-Texas), and former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick. “It's humiliating to suggest that you can't evaluate a candidate's record, especially when Kamala Harris has done more harm than good to the black community.”
Part of Mr. Trump's campaign message to black voters is to selectively weaponize the judicial system against him. Trump has cited historical legal discrimination against the black community and wonders if some black voters sympathize with Biden's weaponization of justice.
