Blake Lively Accuses Justin Baldoni of Leaking Deposition Details

Blake Lively has accused Justin Baldoni of creating a “media circus” by leaking information regarding her deposition during their ongoing legal battle last week.

The 37-year-old actress was questioned under oath by her co-star from “It Ends With Us” on Thursday. According to her attorney’s letter filed on Monday, details were leaked “immediately” after her session.

The deposition began at 10:13 AM, and by 10:15 AM, a report was released by TMZ, alleging that Baldoni had been present during Lively’s questioning.

Both Lively and Baldoni have been embroiled in a legal dispute for several months, stemming from accusations of sexual harassment on the set of their film.

Lively’s legal team claims, “It appears that the Wayfarer defendant immediately leaked details to tabloid media, aligning with Mr. Lively’s goal of creating a media circus around his deposition.”

The next day, Lively’s lawyers accused Baldoni’s camp of leaking further information, including comments about her attire during the deposition.

This narrative aimed to mislead people, suggesting that Baldoni would engage only one lawyer in the case.

As reported by Daily Mail, Lively was accompanied by her sister, Robyn, and husband, Ryan Reynolds, as she arrived dressed in black jeans, a jacket, and a light blue cardigan. Although they were not present during her questioning, eight lawyers were reportedly involved in the day’s proceedings.

The documents filed in Manhattan Federal Court allege that Baldoni and his associates had an extensive legal team of 13 lawyers present.

Lively’s lawyers claim that the day following her deposition, Baldoni’s team released a rough draft of the transcript, and now Lively’s side intends to file motions to keep it sealed indefinitely.

Baldoni’s attorney expressed hopes to convince the court to maintain the confidentiality of the transcript, suggesting that Lively’s team was fearful of making her testimony public.

Depositions are typically held in private settings and are not made public unless there is a compelling legal reason. Lively secured a protective order that allowed her to be questioned at a law firm of her choice, rather than Baldoni’s.

Lively has filed a $250 million lawsuit against Baldoni and others, claiming she was sexually harassed during the filming of their movie.

She asserts that the situation deteriorated to a point where she and Reynolds felt they had to avoid showing him nude videos and photos of women, and there were tense discussions around past issues with pornography and his sexual conduct.

Furthermore, Lively alleges that Baldoni’s team initiated a smear campaign against her personal and professional life.

Baldoni, known for his role in “Jane the Virgin,” has since countered with a $400 million claim, citing loss of reputation and honor linked to Reynolds. However, a Manhattan federal judge dismissed Baldoni’s claim in June.

As of Monday afternoon, neither party’s legal representatives had responded to requests for comment.
