Blame Snoop Dogg: Female rapper’s grotesque Martin Luther King disrespect

Sexy Red, 26, may be doing some serious self-reflection first.

To celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the American rapper posted a photoshopped image of her and MLK in questionable circumstances. One photo featured her and MLK looking into each other's eyes at a club, and another showed her promiscuously admiring standing next to MLK at a protest.

Dr. King's only daughter, Bernice King, was not happy with the post, to say the least.

“This is intentionally offensive, dishonest, deplorable, and disrespectful to my family and my father. Do not respond to yourself. Please delete,” King wrote in response to X.

Jason Whitlock finds Red's actions disgusting, but he doesn't place all the blame on the rapper.

“My first thought, my gut thought, was like, 'Man, look at what these male rappers have done,'” Whitlock says. “It's the example male rappers have set, so I'm not surprised that Sexy Red is taking notice by any means necessary.”

“Congratulations, the respect we reserved for male rappers, it's much worse, or at all, and it's dishonoring everything.” Snoop Dogg is playing at the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Snoop Dogg is hosting the NFL Awards. Downplaying and dishonoring everything must be the path to fame, fortune, and respect. No need.”

“There's no place Snoop Dogg isn't respected. Why wouldn't Sexy Red join in the fun?” he adds.
