Blaming Baltimore Bridge Collapse on DEI ‘Foolishness’

Gov. Wes Moore (D-Md.) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that he blames diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies for the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge. “It’s stupid,” he said.

Host Dana Bash said, “Some Republicans are trying to blame the bridge collapse on policies that promote diversity in the workplace.” “This is what happens when you have a governor who prioritizes diversity over welfare and safety.” “DEI did this,” another Republican running for Florida Congress posted. what is your reply?

Moore said: “My answer is, I don’t have time for stupidity!” He’s trapped. ”

He continued, “I’m trying to be able to give closure and comfort to these families. I’m going to ensure the safety of our first responders while doing a heroic job. We’re going to clear waterways and secure boats and ships so we can start the economic engine again. I want to make sure we take care of our workers, including first responders, families, and small businesses affected by this. And I’m definitely going to rebuild the key bridge. I’m not going to dig into this because I don’t have time for stupid things.”

Moore added, “My focus is on making sure these families get the comfort and closure they need. Making sure our first responders get the support they need. , to ensure that these channels can be opened, and to ensure that this key bridge can be rebuilt. Frankly, I don’t have time to work on anything else. I’m locked up and don’t want to do anything important right now. I am concentrating on.”
