New York Black Lives Matter leader Hawk Newsom has been arrested in a shocking video that shows him towering over an NYPD officer and threatening to “beat the hell out of him.”
CBS reported that an irate Newsom was handcuffed on Tuesday after appearing in Bronx Criminal Court for the trial of an NYPD sergeant accused of killing a man by throwing him a cooler last summer.
“Do you think I’m scared of you? I’m going to beat the hell out of you. You’re insane,” Newsom was filmed yelling during a vile rant at the officer.
“Do you know how much I like you? You’re a vagina… a fucking vagina.”
It was not immediately clear what led to the on-camera ordeal.
Footage posted on social media showed numerous police officers trying to calm the situation.
At one point, Newsom was filmed grabbing a female officer’s hand and slapping her away after the woman appeared to try to attack a woman who was with him.
Newsom was given three citations for disorderly conduct following the disturbance that was caught on camera.
The dramatic ordeal unfolded after a hearing for NYPD Sgt. Eric Duran was charged with second-degree manslaughter in the August 2023 death of drug suspect Eric Duprey, who was riding a scooter.
The officer, who has maintained his innocence, is accused of throwing a cooler at Dupree, hitting him in the head and causing him to fall as he fled from a drug raid in the Bronx.
