Bo Bichette Signs Three-Year Deal with Mets

Bo Bichette was officially welcomed as a new addition to the Mets on Wednesday. He signed a hefty three-year contract worth $126 million, alongside his new wife, Alexis, at Citi Field.

Mrs. Bichette sported a blue and orange cap, showcasing her support for the Mets with a matching top. The couple posed on the steps of the first base dugout, the snowy field providing a picturesque backdrop.

This event followed closely on their wedding, which took place just weeks prior, attended by former Blue Jays teammates. Held during the first weekend of January, the ceremony reportedly occurred at Horse Soldier’s Urban Stillhouse in St. Petersburg, Florida, as noted in social media posts.

Ernie Clement, a Blue Jays infielder and guest at the wedding, shared his thoughts, mentioning how honored he felt to be invited. On his podcast, Clement remarked on the couple’s wonderful qualities.

At the press conference, Bichette appeared for the first time in a Mets jersey and cap. He expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team, describing the potential of the Mets and his genuine belief in the organization.

“After careful consideration and discussions with family, agents, and friends, it became clear that I was meant to be here,” he noted, referring to the vision shared by team owners for consistent success. “We have a solid chance to contend for the World Series annually, and it’s thrilling to be part of this city.”
