NFL Playoffs: Broncos and Bills Set for Divisional Round Showdown

The Denver Broncos secured a wild card bye thanks to their impressive regular-season record in the AFC. Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, easily defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars, paving the way for a divisional round clash against the Broncos, who are guided by Bo Nix.

In his playoff debut, Nix managed to pass for 144 yards during Denver’s defeat to Buffalo. Despite that loss, he expressed unwavering respect for Allen. In a media session this week, Nix remarked on how he has seen the Bills star make “superhero-type plays” on game day.

“He’s amazing. There’s definitely a reason he’s considered the MVP of the league,” Nix said. “He keeps performing, play after play, even when things aren’t going exactly right. It’s like he’s out there doing something extraordinary.”

Nix also highlighted Allen’s toughness as a defining aspect that sets him apart from many other players. “I think his resilience is a big part of it. He plays with such intensity and skill, and it’s been a treat to watch him through the years.”

He continued, “It feels like he’s been around for a while, consistently making those big plays. His combination of size and athleticism is unusual—usually, you don’t see someone as big as a defensive lineman move like a skill player. He has fantastic arm strength, too. It’s just impressive to watch him do everything so well.”

During the regular season, the Knicks finished with a league-high 612 pass attempts, gaining 3,931 yards through the air. Nix threw for 25 touchdowns against 11 interceptions over the 2025 season.

The New England Patriots took the top spot in the AFC East, securing their position while the Bills grabbed a wild card entry into the playoffs. The Broncos are now in pursuit of their first playoff win since their Super Bowl 50 victory, which was led by Peyton Manning, nearly ten years ago. The outcome of Saturday’s playoff matchup between the Bills and Broncos will determine who advances to the AFC Championship Game.

Additionally, the Houston Texans will square off against the Patriots in the other divisional round clash, vying for the other spot in the conference championship.
