Bobsled champion Kaillie Humphries signs with XX-XY Athletics

Kaillie Humphries presents the Order of Ikkos medal to Trump at the White House

Kylie Humphries Becomes Brand Ambassador for Save Women’s Sport Movement

The most accomplished female bobsledder in Olympic history has joined the Save Women’s Sport movement as its official brand ambassador. Olympic bobsled star Kylie Humphries has partnered with activist sportswear company XX-XY Athletics, which aims to represent female athletes who have made their mark in sports.

Humphries expressed her enthusiasm, stating that it’s significant to collaborate with a brand that shares her values and stands up for women’s spaces and sports. She gained attention for her views on protecting women’s sports from biological male transgender athletes during an interview with Fox News, which drew considerable online reaction after the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February.

Recently honored with a bronze medal in women’s bobsled—her sixth Olympic medal total—Humphries has experienced backlash for her conservative views, including identifying as a Republican, but she remains steadfast in her beliefs. In March, President Donald Trump acknowledged her contributions to women’s sports by awarding her the Icos Medal during a Women’s History Month event at the White House.

Reflecting on her journey, Humphries noted that her connections grew stronger after returning to the U.S. post-Olympics. Originally from Canada, she represented her home country in the first three Olympics before moving to the U.S. in 2016, competing for her new country in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Several months later, the sports community was surprised when transgender swimmer Leah Thomas won a women’s championship with the Penn State swim team. Humphries followed that story closely and found it quite unexpected.

Now living in California with her newborn son, Humphries is focused on advocating against the participation of transgender athletes in women’s sports in a state known for its intense debates around these issues.

Jennifer, co-founder of XX-XY Athletics, previously indicated that partnering with high-profile female athletes, particularly Olympic medalists, is a key goal for the brand. Humphries adds her impressive credentials to the company, joining other Olympic athletes like gymnast Mykayla Skinner and swimmer Nancy Hogshead who are also brand ambassadors.

Humphries has been described as a trailblazer in her sport. Acknowledged for her remarkable achievements, she has played a pivotal role in establishing opportunities for female athletes looking to compete at the highest levels. With her leadership, women’s monobob has gained recognition, demonstrating that women possess the ability to excel in demanding athletic environments.

XX-XY Athletics values her support in promoting equal opportunities for women in sports as it continues to grow its impact.
