The body of actor Cole Brings Plenty, who starred in the “Yellowstone” spinoff “1923,” was found Friday after he was reported missing following a domestic violence dispute.
Cole, 27, was found dead in a “wooded area” near the city of Edgerton. This was announced by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
Police responded to the scene in an unoccupied vehicle and found his body nearby.
No other details about his death were available.
Authorities had been searching for the actor since Sunday.
In a police report on the domestic violence incident obtained by the Post, Cole is cited on several charges, including: Choking in a rude way. Family/Relationship” and “Aggravated Robbery. Dwelling for Felony, Theft, Domestic Violence, or Sexually Motivated Crime.”
His family reported him missing, and his manager claimed he had no idea where he had disappeared, but stressed there was no “concrete evidence” he was on the run.
The actor, whose uncle is “Yellowstone” star Mo Brings Plenty, did not attend an audition for an upcoming film project held on Zoom Monday morning.
A missing person poster said Cole was last seen “in the early morning hours” on Sunday.
“We must let the legal system determine truth and justice. Convicting someone because they are missing is a violation of the due process that each of us is entitled to, for both parties.” It’s so unhelpful,” his manager told the Post at the time.
Cole appeared in episodes 7 and 8 of the first season of the Yellowstone spinoff 1923.
His other credits include the TV series “Into the Wild Frontier” and “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger.”
Filming for Season 2 of 1923 began earlier this year, but it’s unclear whether Cole will return.
