Police said the body of a baby girl was discovered Saturday at Fort Phantom Lake north of Abilene, Texas.
Abilene Police Department detail The discovery was revealed in a social media post on Tuesday.Police investigator Detective Inspector Scott said patrol officers were called to the area of Seabee Park around 9pm after receiving a report of a toddler's body.
When officers arrived on scene they found a child, believed to be a girl.
“It appears she has been deceased for some time. The infant has not been identified at this time,” Scott said.

Her body was sent to Dallas for an autopsy and was determined to be a girl, he continued. No arrests had been made as of Wednesday morning.
