Jordan Addison’s Drunk Driving Incident and Aftermath

Footage obtained reveals that California Highway Patrol officers had to wake up Jordan Addison last year when he was found passed out on a Los Angeles road just before he was arrested for drunk driving.

The video, released after Addison’s criminal case was resolved, showcases a police body camera recording taken at around 11:30 p.m. on July 12, 2024. Authorities reported that the NFL player had fallen asleep at the wheel of a Rolls-Royce, which was blocking a traffic lane near Los Angeles International Airport.

The video captures the officer approaching Addison’s vehicle, informing the dispatcher that “the party is passed out.” After several knocks on the window, Addison woke up, appearing disoriented.

The officer asked, “Are you okay?” to which Addison replied with confusion, “What happened?”

“What do you mean?” the officer responded. “You’ve been sleeping here for about 15 minutes.”

After some back and forth, Addison claimed she was fine and mentioned she was heading to the airport. Despite asserting she hadn’t been drinking, the officer ordered her out of the car to perform a series of evaluations after checking her eyes.

Addison explained she was traveling from West Hollywood to Los Angeles International Airport and reiterated she “didn’t have anything to drink.” The 23-year-old, a former USC player drafted in the NFL’s first round in 2022, underwent a field sobriety test.

Following a roadside investigation, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. During the arrest, officers found she had $150 in one-dollar bills, but she did not clarify why she had that specific amount.

Addison was later charged with DUI, having a blood alcohol concentration of at least 0.08%. Initially pleading not guilty, she agreed to plead guilty to a lesser “reckless” charge in July 2025. As a result, she was placed on probation for a year, fined, and required to complete two online courses.

Her probation was terminated last week after her lawyer, Jacqueline Spagna, provided proof that Addison had fulfilled all conditions.

Spagna stated, “Jordan met all of her duties on time, without exception, and often went above and beyond what was asked of her. Now that his probation has officially ended, we plan to apply for expungement so he can fully move forward with his life.”

Addison faced a three-game suspension at the start of the season due to the incident but later played in ten games for the Vikings, recording 37 catches, 510 receiving yards, and three touchdowns.

Now, his availability for the upcoming road game against the Cowboys remains uncertain due to an Achilles injury.
