Jed York, the owner of the San Francisco 49ers, was taken by surprise when law enforcement surrounded his rental vehicle while he was attempting to meet a woman for sex in a trailer park in Ohio. This incident happened even as he wore his wedding ring, according to bodycam footage obtained by the California Post.
York, dressed casually in a Yankees T-shirt, basketball shorts, and sneakers, was stopped by police and taken into custody without any resistance.
As officers placed him in handcuffs and searched him, York repeatedly questioned them, asking, “Can I ask what you’re doing?” When asked if he was meeting anyone, he simply responded, “just driving.”
After he was placed in the police cruiser, officers searched his vehicle and found several hundred dollars in cash in $20 bills.
At one point, an officer remarked, “He’s got a s—t ton of cash,” while another added, “It’s crazy the people that do this. They could do whatever they want. They could go other ways. It’s wild.”

During his interaction with the police, York allegedly mentioned he had a background in real estate, which one officer relayed to another. He had gone to the mobile park home because he had arranged to pay $160 for sex after contacting the woman through an undercover advertisement on a known prostitution site, as noted in a report by the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force.
Using the alias “Joe,” York had intended to spend an hour with the woman at the designated meeting spot, the report indicated. He faced two misdemeanor charges after being taken into custody: engaging in prostitution and possessing criminal tools.
However, on Monday, he struck a deal with prosecutors to resolve the case. He entered a no contest plea to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct and one count of possessing criminal tools. As a result, he was sentenced to one day in jail but received credit for time already served.
Additionally, he was ordered to pay fines amounting to $1,150.
York had recently moved to Ohio, with voter registration records showing he relocated to his parents’ house in Youngstown just before filing for divorce from his wife, Danielle Belluomini.
In the divorce petition submitted on May 11, York cited irreconcilable differences, and he shares two sons with Belluomini.
As of now, York has not publicly commented on the arrest. Meanwhile, the 49ers issued a statement on Monday noting that they would refrain from commenting on the matter, as it has been legally resolved.
The NFL is currently reviewing the situation under its personal conduct policy.
York, now 45, has been the CEO of the 49ers since 2008 and became the principal owner of the franchise in 2024.
