Trump Dismisses Pam Bondi as Attorney General

President Donald Trump has officially let go of Pam Bondi from her role as attorney general, with expectations of her being succeeded by another official from the administration.

Reports indicate that Bondi’s removal was anticipated, especially after a prolonged investigation that highlighted her mismanagement of the Epstein case, which became a significant issue for the administration. Sources shared that Trump is favoring Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin to step into Bondi’s shoes after they met on Tuesday to discuss the transition.

“We love you Pam,” was echoed in the administration.

Following Bondi’s exit, she will be the second Cabinet member to depart, after Kristi Noem, the former Secretary of Homeland Security.

In a message on Truth Social, President Trump praised Bondi as “a great American patriot and a loyal friend,” noting her dedicated service as attorney general over the previous year. He highlighted her role in a nationwide crime reduction initiative that led to a significant drop in homicides.

Bondi’s departure follows rising criticism regarding her handling of the Epstein files. Critics pointed out repeated delays in releasing the documents and noted that some files appeared to be altered to shield potential co-conspirators while naming alleged victims. During a House oversight hearing in February, Republican Rep. Thomas Massey criticized Bondi for her handling of the Epstein files, labeling it “literally the worst thing to do to a survivor.”

In the chaotic atmosphere of that hearing, Bondi attempted to defend herself by portraying the Epstein files as a Democratic distraction from Trump’s successes, even mentioning the Dow Jones soaring past 50,000 points.
