U2 frontman Bono dedicated the song “All I Want Is You” to First Lady Jill Biden last weekend at the conclusion of the band’s first residency at Las Vegas’ $2.3 billion Sphere Arena.
Before performing the band’s 1988 hit “All I Want Is You,” Bono said he dedicated the song to “one woman in particular.” It was Jill Biden.

“When I wrote this song, I tried to write the lyrics from the perspective of a woman or a bride, which I think is pretty arrogant. That’s a trick I was playing to myself to understand the lyrics. “It was,” Bono explained.
“So tonight I want to dedicate this song to all the great women in our lives,” Bono continued. “Our partners, our mothers, our daughters, all the women in the U2 crew, all the great women in the audience that we know and feel we have, and in a very difficult situation that we will never be able to Get to know all the great women around the world who are experiencing… “
“And tonight there’s one woman in particular,” the U2 frontman added. “She’s a teacher and she’s your first lady. This is Jill Biden’s. It’s a wedding song.”
“It was a great night at the Sphere. A huge thank you to Bono Edge, Adam and of course Bram for their great work. It’s a very emotional night for me personally.”
