Social media users marveled at Welch’s ability to stay focused during the live broadcast.

Many who saw the video, which has garnered more than a quarter of a million likes on Instagram, claimed the unidentified object resembled a black fly.

However, some say it was simply an eyelash that fell into her mouth.
