Boston now awaits the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks, with the Mavericks currently leading the series. 3-0.

I had a feeling this was going to be the Boston Celtics’ year.

When you saw both the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat go down with injuries and the New York Knicks go down as usual (this year to the Pacers), you knew fate was on the Celtics’ side, and now they’re the reigning Eastern Conference champions.

I’ll get to the Celtics vs. Mavericks matchup in a later post, because the real attraction of the NBA Finals is that we’ll have to wait until June 6th for the games to start, and that long of a wait from the league is really infuriating.

Let’s try harder, NBA. Let’s try harder.
