Boston University responds to Alex Cooper's allegations of sexual harassment

Alex Cooper Addresses Allegations Against Former Coach

In a recent documentary showcasing the journey of Alex Cooper’s podcast career, the well-known podcaster has retracted her earlier claims of sexual harassment against Nancy Feldman, her former football coach at Boston University.

Cooper, now 30, had previously described instances where the coach inquired about her personal life, made comments about her appearance, and sought to engage with her alone. She at one point stated, “Feldman would isolate me more than my fellow teammates.”

Reflecting on her experiences, Cooper expressed considerable anger—she felt frustration towards the coach, her university, and the broader system that enabled such behavior. This reflection came during her appearance in Hulu’s documentary titled “Call Her Alex,” named after her hit podcast “Call Her Daddy.”

Cooper, alongside her parents, noted that during a meeting with university officials, no actions were taken against Feldman, who was not dismissed, and Cooper was allowed to keep her scholarship.

In response, the university issued a statement emphasizing its “zero tolerance policy against sexual harassment.” The administration indicated that comprehensive resources and reporting processes were in place to prioritize student welfare.

Cooper played college soccer from 2013 to 2015 before transitioning to podcasting, teaming up with her former roommates to launch a podcast initially called “Cole Her Dad,” which later gained popularity through Barstool Sports. Ultimately, “Call Her Daddy” was acquired by Spotify for a reported $60 million, which was then followed by a succession to SiriusXM for $125 million.

Additionally, the university reiterated its commitment to fostering a safe environment, urging community members to voice concerns to maintain security and well-being on campus.
