Bournemouth vs. Liverpool odds, picks: Premier League predictions, bets

Liverpool learned a hard lesson last weekend against Nottingham Forest.

After a perfect start under new manager Arne Sloot with 3 wins, 0 losses and 0 draws, the Reds were shut out 1-0 at home by some impressive defence from Tricky Trees and watched their title rivals get the job done and pull away unexpectedly early.

Slott's first three games in charge were uneventful, a bitter experience for Liverpool after talk was spreading that they were genuine favourites to win the title alongside Manchester City and Arsenal, but that's the reality of the Premier League these days.

Liverpool fought back with an impressive win over AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday but now return home to face a dangerous Bournemouth side who have been strong early in the season.

As -360 favourites to win on FanDuel, can the Reds get back on track in the Premier League?

Or is this Bournemouth team worth a big buck?

Premier League: Liverpool vs Bournemouth oddschoose

Andoni Iraola has transformed Bournemouth into a fashionable and dangerous team in just over a year.

The Spaniard wants the Cherries to be brave and willing to take risks with and without the ball. Built in a similar style to Jurgen Klopp's side, Bournemouth are not afraid to put pressure on any team high up the pitch.

In any previous season, this would have been welcome news for Liverpool.

The Reds were a strong pressing team under Klopp but Slott appears to favour a more cautious approach.

Perhaps that will change as the squad and coach get more used to each other, but for now, Liverpool seem to have things a little calmer.

This stylistic adjustment should change the outlook for this match.

If Liverpool become more realistic, it will mean fewer opportunities for Bournemouth to exploit mistakes and move in the opposite direction.

This could force Bournemouth to tighten up on the defensive and play more cautiously.

That's exactly what Nottingham Forest did, resulting in a hard-fought game which Forest won.

Something similar could happen in this contest.

It's a tough task, but Bournemouth is a team the betting market has trusted for the best part of a year and they've already shown valiant efforts against Newcastle and Chelsea.

At this price it's worth going to Bournemouth.
