A 15-year-old boy was stabbed in the head on a Queens street near his school Wednesday afternoon, amid a wave of violence targeting teens in the Big Apple.
Police and officials said the young victim was attacked by an assailant wearing a ski mask shortly after leaving August Martin High School around 2:50 p.m.
Police and officials said the suspect stalked the boy near Guy R. Brewer Boulevard and 112th Street in south Jamaica and held a knife to his head and shoulder.
Paramedics rushed the injured boy to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition.
Police said it was unclear what led to the bloodshed and that the gunman was out in high winds as of Wednesday night.
The stabbings occurred Tuesday after a brutal day of knife attacks across New York City. Four students were stabbed and slashed three times in the schoolyard.
Last week, riots broke out across the city, leaving two teenagers dead and at least six others injured.

“There’s always talk about there being too many guns on the streets, and there are, but it seems like every teenager has a knife,” says a Brooklyn detective on knife ownership among teens. He spoke to the Post about this worrying trend.
“You think you’ve been hit, but then someone stabs you in the chest or back and suddenly you’re bleeding.”
