Brandi Glanville’s Health Journey Takes a New Turn

Brandi Glanville is making significant strides in her health struggle by opting for surgery. She recently shared insights about her upcoming “exploratory surgery” during an episode of her podcast, “Brandi Glanville Unfiltered,” which aired on October 22.

In her words, “Dr. Carlo Honrado is going to remove my face on Friday and perform an exploratory surgery to do what I can only describe as a power wash beneath my skin.” She mentioned that the doctor has identified two specific areas that may contain “fungal balls or something alive.” She speculated, rather intriguingly, that it might be alive since it seems to move at will.

Despite feeling “super excited,” Glanville also admitted to being “scared to death.” She has never undergone facial surgery before and has heard that this procedure is “more intensive than a facelift.”

While anxiety lingers, she holds on to hope for a successful outcome. She trusts Dr. Honrado, noting that he is “highly recommended” and feels somewhat okay with the surgery’s $5,000 cost, contemplating, “what if he actually removes it, and it’s all over?”

Glanville elaborated on her health journey, stating, “It began in my face, my cheek and jawbone, and then it spread over my head and neck. Now it’s traveling down my spine.” The doctor indicated that if he can “remove the head of the beast,” it might be easier to tackle the remaining issues.

She has previously mentioned that she believes a parasite contracted during a trip to Morocco in 2023 might be the source of her problems. At one point, she endured facial paralysis, initially diagnosed as stress-induced angioedema.

In September, Glanville disclosed that she had been diagnosed with several conditions, including an exceptionally resistant type of bacteria and Valley fever, along with other health complications that require costly daily IV treatments, which she estimated could run anywhere from $3,300 to $6,000 each month.

During a recent chat, Glanville revealed that she decided to join the current season of “Special Forces” due to her financial situation, a result of years spent on medical treatments. “The medical system here is broken,” she said, expressing frustration over constant calls from creditors regarding medical bills. “I’ve spent hundreds of thousands of dollars I had saved, emptied my 401(k), all for medical expenses.” With insurance, she felt overlooked, and now, facing her mid-fifties, that financial cushion has vanished.

On top of financial worries, Glanville mentioned she felt compelled to prove to herself that she could still tackle challenges. “I just want this out of my body. I want my health back. I want my life back. I want to feel like me again,” she expressed back in September.
