Brandon Clark, a forward for the Memphis Grizzlies, has left behind a grieving fiancée, Amber Lorraine, who recently shared a touching tribute. In her heartfelt Instagram post, she opened up about their plans to marry before his unexpected passing.
Lorraine expressed her anguish, stating, “There are no words to describe this feeling,” and accompanied her words with several photos of the couple.
She continued, “I never thought I’d have to live my life without you,” referring to Clark as “the most special person with the biggest heart.” The day he proposed was particularly significant to her. “We were supposed to get married right away and eventually start a family,” she reminisced.
Lorraine also reflected on their shared moments, reminiscing about everything from his “dumb jokes” to their deep conversations, favorite breakfasts, and quiet evenings spent watching “Harry Potter.” It’s clear she misses it all dearly. “All I want is to hug you and kiss you,” she lamented. “This world won’t be the same without you.”
Clark, who was 29 and in his seventh season with the Grizzlies, tragically passed away last week after paramedics were called to his home in the San Fernando Valley for a medical emergency.
Authorities reportedly discovered drug paraphernalia at the scene, and his death is currently under investigation for a potential overdose, pending autopsy results. Interestingly, he had been scheduled to appear in court that same week for a drug possession case.
The Grizzlies released a statement expressing their sorrow over Clark’s death, saying, “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of Brandon Clark,” and praised him as an exceptional teammate whose influence on the organization and the Memphis community would be remembered.
The abruptness of his passing has left a deep impact, resonating throughout the basketball community as family and friends come to terms with the loss of someone so cherished.
