According to officers and sources, a shameless intruder stole around $15,000 from a donation box inside the Brooklyn Synagogue during an early morning robbery last month.
The masked, suited thief sneaked into the congregation Agudath Sholom on 18th Avenue near East 19th Avenue in Kensington around 1am on Jan. 25, authorities said.
Footage released by the NYPD late Tuesday shows the suspect secretly opening the door and passing through a place of worship.
The suspect, who wore a baseball cap and backpack along with his business outfit, entered various rooms in the synagogue and rushed to a large pot of cash from multiple donation boxes, police said.
He then came out the same way, slowly closing it, then locking it before casually leaving, the video shows.
He fled east on 18th Avenue and then south of Coney Island Avenue, officers said.
It was not clear if anyone else was in the synagogue at the time, but no injuries were reported.
Anyone with information about the suspect will be asked to call NYPD's Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-Pista (74782) in Spanish .
