Breitbart News is holding a policy event Wednesday morning in downtown Washington, D.C., called “Conversation with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.” The conversation comes as America enters an age of energy domination. Bulgham plays an important role in making that happen.
Breitbart News is sponsored by other events as well as the American Clean Power Association in partnership with CGCN and the Alfa Institute.
It comes as President Donald Trump expands his role as Secretary of the Interior to focus on energy independence and control. Trump signed an executive order to establish a new National Energy Control Council for the second term of office. According to White House documents, “I advise President Trump on strategies to achieve energy domination by improving the production, production, distribution, regulation and transportation processes across all forms of American energy.”
A key role is Bulgham, the Secretary of the Interior, who chairs the council. He has since declared that the Biden administration's “war on American energy” has “officially ended,” and he has used his role as Secretary of the Interior to do so.
“Inside, there is 500 million acres of surfaces, 700 million acres of underground minerals and important minerals, with nearly 2 billion acres offshore,” Bulgham said, as detailed by Breitbart news. “And that balance sheet is the largest balance sheet in the world and is completely underutilized.”
“We have not been able to be proud of our position as a news organization that can drive key policy conversations and be a platform for stakeholders to discuss the future of all the key issues facing our nation.”
“That's why we're holding these events, starting with Secretary Bulgham, to let the public and decision makers know where the federal government is making important policy decisions before anyone else,” he continued. “If you want to know what's going to happen, you need to read the Breitbart news and be on the cutting edge of the political and policy environment and engage with your audience.”
