Breitbart News editor-in-chief Alex Marlowe said Donald Trump Jr. “predicted everything that’s happening right now,” he said, pointing out President Joe Biden’s implosion as a presidential candidate.
“I think it’s a bit of a stretch to think that he’s a good guy,” Marlowe said on Don Jr.’s podcast. It was the triggerThe race for the Democratic presidential nomination got underway on Wednesday amid continuing political fallout from Biden’s disastrous performance in the first presidential debate ahead of the June 27 general election.
Don Jr. praised Marlowe for predicting Biden’s failure in his recent book. Defeating Biden: Exposing the hidden forces and secret funding mechanisms behind Joe Biden, his family, and his administration.
They pointed out that the Democratic Party and the media are scrambling to find an alternative candidate. The most likely candidate, according to Marlowe, is Vice President Kamala Harris. This also exposed another layer of corruption within the Democratic Party. The person who is said to be putting the most pressure on Biden to drop out of the race is Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Steve Jobs, who is also one of Harris’ closest friends in California.
Marlow noted that Biden even fell short of his own low (albeit cautious) expectations.
“He looked really weakened,” Marlowe said, recalling the debate. “I say this as someone who has been warning people on the right not to rest on their laurels or take anything for granted. [to] I know that if Karl Marx were the candidate, for some reason 40% of the people in this country would still vote Democrat.
“They have to understand that we have to fight with every last bit of energy.”
Marlowe noted that Democrats had essentially accepted Biden’s lies to the public and handed over the “fact-checking” role during the debate to Breitbart News, which had dominated news and social media coverage of the debate.
But he warned that Biden’s fight isn’t over yet, as the president is adept at manipulating party politics. “He’s going to deal further damage to his base in the Democratic establishment,” Marlowe predicted.
Biden had intended to pass his legacy on to his son Beau, but Beau tragically died of brain cancer, Marlowe noted. That left Hunter Biden, which created problems for Biden and made his succession selection even more difficult. “He doesn’t see himself as a president. He sees himself as a historical figure,” Marlowe said.
But with no obvious successor emerging, Biden is likely to hold on to the presidency and his nominations for as long as possible.
Marlowe and Don Jr. reflected on the prison sentences against Peter Navarro and former Breitbart News executive chairman Stephen K. Bannon. Marlowe said the charges were a serious violation of civil rights and that the Trump administration should investigate them once in office.
Regarding the political impact of Bannon’s imprisonment, which will end just days before the Nov. 5 election, Marlow added that while the incarceration could galvanize Trump supporters who want to rebel against the Biden administration, it also removes one of the conservative movement’s generals from the battlefield.
Don Jr. agreed that the overall impact is difficult to predict and that Trump supporters will need to be mobilized in any case.
Marlowe said he expects Trump to highlight his entrepreneurial background as he appeals to voters in the final stages of the campaign, reminding Americans how he created opportunity for ordinary people.
And above all, he said, people must remember to vote: It’s not enough to reject Biden without actually putting a ballot in the ballot box.
“Don’t underestimate the ability of Democrats to increase voter turnout,” he said. “It’s not enough to just reject Joe Biden; you have to actually turn in your ballot.”
