The brewers were on the wrong end of the Yankees and their new torpedo bat on Saturday – and reviews from the other side were mixed together.
“I think that's awful,” Milwaukee right-hander Trevor Megill told the bat post, which had barrels in non-traditional places. I've never seen anything like that before. I think it is used in slot pitch softballs. It's a genius: put all the Mass in one place. It could be a bush [league]. It may not be the case. But it's the Yankees, so they slide it. ”
But Megill's teammate Rhys Hoskins responded unexpectedly after getting the first close-up view of the bats used by several Yankees on Saturday, including Anthony Volpe and Jazz Chisholm Jr.
“I didn't see it until after the game,” Hoskins said. “They found a way to make it work. Logically, that makes a lot of sense, but I'm not a physicist. But do you really want to look it up?”
