Brian Kemp to Appear with Donald Trump in Georgia on Friday

Gov. Brian Kemp (R-Ga.) is reportedly scheduled to appear with former President Donald Trump, who is visiting Georgia on Friday in the wake of Hurricane Helen.

ABC News campaign reporter Larry Ibsa first reported Thursday that sources familiar with the plan told her and colleague Kelsey Walsh that Kemp would join the 45th president.

“Governor. Brian Kemp and former President Donald Trump will appear together in Georgia tomorrow as President Trump plans a second visit this week to assess the impact of Hurricane Helen on the state. Planned,” Ibsa wrote in a post to X.

Despite their differences, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said in August that Trump and Kemp would vote for Trump in the Peach State to help him win the Peach State in November. He announced on Fox News that he was prepared to put a “political machine” behind him.

Graham said the comments came at a National Republican Senatorial Committee fundraiser that same month, where Kemp said Vice President Kamala Harris was “a disaster for the state of Georgia.”
