Zach Bryan has reignited some old drama with his ex, Briana “Chicken Free” LaPaglia, who responded positively.
The 29-year-old country artist shared a screenshot of a message from LaPaglia that she sent following her farewell tour on Instagram Stories. In her text, the 26-year-old expressed that she still cares for him and wanted the best for him, even mentioning her willingness to support him as family.
LaPaglia went on to say, “I hope one day you’ll see past all the drama in your life and know that I was always in your corner.”
Along with her message, Bryan posted another screenshot showing LaPaglia discussing options with a third party after they split. These options included accepting $12 million or a house without discussing their relationship or rejecting both and entering what she termed a “troubling war.”
LaPaglia asserted she wasn’t lying and highlighted her truth in her own Instagram Story. She humorously mentioned that Bryan was “out of power again at 7am.” After some playful banter about him living rent-free, she shared her side, revealing that she was offered a substantial amount to keep quiet.
She concluded her remarks with her frustrations, saying, “I’m so tired of this. Why is he crashing?”
LaPaglia defended her actions by stating she was merely responding to his attacks, insisting, “I have nothing to do with this guy.” Moreover, she pushed back against suggestions to release recordings of alleged abuse from their relationship, arguing that it’s unnecessary to relive trauma for online spectacle.
Despite the back-and-forth, LaPaglia hinted last week that she might reveal more when Bryan commented “not sweet” on a TikTok post.
Meanwhile, Bryan’s team has not commented on the situation. The couple was together from 2023 to 2024, and LaPaglia has claimed that she experienced emotional abuse during their time together. She mentioned that previous exes of Bryan, like Rose Madden and Deb Pafer, had also signed agreements in exchange for large sums.
So far, the Grammy Award-winning artist has not addressed LaPaglia’s claims directly, although he remarked last year that many people have been seeking answers.
