Erin Bates Payne recently expressed her gratitude to fans after leaving the hospital nearly three weeks post-delivery. She welcomed her son, Henry Blythe, on August 25 but faced serious complications afterward, including sepsis and kidney infections, which led to a seizure. Throughout this challenging time, her husband, Chad, kept everyone updated on her condition.

Payne was discharged from the hospital on September 13 and shared joyful photos of herself with her newborn. One snapshot showed her in a wheelchair, smiling.

“After almost three weeks in the hospital, I wasn’t certain how I’d feel, but finally, we’re back home with our baby,” she shared on Instagram. She also mentioned their other six children, stating, “We don’t have all the answers yet. I still have limited function in my right leg, but I’m focusing on counting my blessings, especially being together again.”

In a follow-up post, she shared a video of her mother’s cooking, expressing her appreciation for the support during this journey.

The Bates family is known for their reality show, *Bringing Up Bates*, which depicted the daily lives of Gill and Kelly Joe Bates and their 19 children, highlighting themes like faith and family life in rural Tennessee. The show aired from 2015 to 2021.

Her brother, Lawson Bates, offered supportive words, sharing how proud he is of her and praying for her complete recovery. Similarly, sister Carlin Bates Stewart celebrated the joy of having a new baby in the family. Their parents also sent encouraging messages, reminding her of the love present during both difficult and happy moments.

“We cherish every moment with you, filled with both tears and laughter,” wrote Gill and Kelly Joe. “We love you immensely; we’d go to the moon and back just to be with you!”
