Bristol Palin shares the latest updates on her facial paralysis.

Palin, the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, has not experienced muscle movements on the left side of her face since January. The 34-year-old has tried alternative medicines such as acupuncture to help heal paralysis.

“If you keep your mouth closed, it's not that noticeable,” she told her Instagram followers on Monday. “We're on the 35th day. Officially, it's been five weeks since the left side of the face is paralyzed. There's still no muscle movement on the left side. I don't feel much.”

“I did everything I could imagine to solve this. I don't know what else to do. But for the past 35 days I've been doing something every day trying to fix this. The future holds I don't know what will happen, but this is the 35th day.

Palin revealed that he was dealing with facial paralysis on January 29th.

“I woke up nine days ago with a slightly strange feeling in my face,” Palin told her followers through her Instagram story. “My mouth was pulling like this and it felt like it was a little farther away. So I went. I looked in the mirror. I said, “Amazing. This looks a little weird.”

“Within a few hours, the whole left side of my face was paralyzed and just paralyzed,” she recalled. “I really couldn't blink my eyes. I definitely couldn't move. [the left side] of my face. Very crazy. ”

Palin had gone to the doctor who “run a test and scanned” but “nothing came back to all the results.” She was prescribed “steroids” and “other medications” at the time.

The doctors pointed out that facial paralysis could have been caused by “a case of Bell's paralysis.” This may have been caused by stress or lack of sleep.

Bell's paralysis is a condition that causes “sudden weakening of the muscles on one side of the face,” according to Mayo Clinic. The weaknesses are usually short-term and the exact cause is unknown.

Palin had gained a bit of feelings on the left side of her face, so I thought she had gotten a little better on the 8th day.

“I know now I look crazy, but this has been a huge improvement from what I look like,” she admitted in her Instagram story at the time. “I'm finally beginning to get some of my senses back. The last two days have been a bit painful. [good] sign. That's a good sign that it's getting better. Praise the Lord! ”

“But next time I look in the mirror and say, 'Oh, my nose is long. I want nose work. I want to do this.' Remember this, and I'm wild, so I'm going to get a normal, functional face. I'm very grateful,” Palin added.
