Britney Spears took to Instagram to tell fans Monday that she suffered major burns in a freak accident.
The famous pop star spoke in a British accent in a selfie video as she described what she called a “really, really dangerous” situation that she endured six months ago.
“I was in my room and I turned the fire on and all of a sudden it blew up in my face, and it’s done it before,” Spears told her fans. She went on to say she suffered major burns to her entire face during the incident.
“In the times it’s done it before, I quit, so I always get my security to come in and light it for me because I’m scared it was gonna blow up,” Spears admitted.
This one particular time, she decided to see the task through on her own, and according to Spears, things didn’t quite go as planned.
“And this time I just threw the whole thing in there and it literally blew into my face!” she said.

“It took all my eyelashes off, my eyebrows, and see this baby hair, these baby bangs, this is basically from six months ago,” she said, as she showed fans the aftermath of her singed hair.
She noted that the person who was with her at the time “would just not wake up” in her time of need.
“My face was like on fire I was like third degree, second degree burns,” Spears said.
“It hurt to put ice on my face, anything – to just touch it.”

Spears said the pain lasted for 6 or 7 hours.
She eventually took three Tylenol pills.
“Tylenol is a really big deal for me it’s like a fucking Vicodin or something!” she said. (RELATED: Sid Wilson Vows To Perform Live Despite Serious Burns)
Spears had no visible burns or scars on her face while filming the video. The clip has since been deleted from her Instagram page.
