Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are navigating new co-parenting dynamics this holiday season.
In a candid chat with Page Six during BravoCon 2025, Cartwright shared their plans for their son, Cruise, who is four years old.
“I’ve always loved Christmas,” said the former “Vanderpump Rules” star, mentioning how she typically returns to her native Kentucky. Her extensive family lives close by on a farm, she noted.
Cartwright added, “He [Cruise] gets to be with all my cousins and family, so there’s just so much love there.” This, she emphasized, is really important to her, and she wants both her and Cruise to fully enjoy that experience.
Meanwhile, Taylor, 36, mentioned that he will be celebrating his own Christmas with Cruise. “We’ll see what happens,” he added, acknowledging that a lot has changed, and they need to handle things a bit differently now.
Cartwright also shared that finalizing her divorce from Taylor, 46, by year’s end would be “the best Christmas present” for her.
She expressed that filming “The Valley” had been “a lot less stressful” without Taylor around this summer.
Cartwright touched on Taylor’s choice to leave “The Valley” in July, indicating it was part of his efforts to focus on his sobriety and mental health, along with their co-parenting situation.
The couple, who first met in Las Vegas in 2015, have had a storied relationship. After one season of the spinoff “Jax and Brittany Go to Kentucky” in 2016 and marriage in 2019, they announced their departure from “Vanderpump Rules” in 2020.
They welcomed Cruise in April 2021, but just three years later, Cartwright stunned fans by sharing their separation.
“Jax and I are living separately. We’ve made the decision to find another home to allow us some space for our mental health,” she revealed in a podcast back in February 2024.
Cartwright remarked that the past year has been challenging, stressing her focus on being the best mother she can for Cruise.
Despite the separation, Taylor insisted that they were still together at the time, expressing their shared dedication to their kids and their intention to work through things together. He even clarified that it wasn’t a divorce yet.
Taylor entered a mental health facility in July, while Cartwright followed suit a month later. Their divorce was filed based on “irreconcilable differences.”
Recently, Cartwright was rumored to be dating Brandon Hanson; the pair was seen vacationing in Mexico during August, though she announced their breakup in October.
